Support Worker – Portsmouth
This residential support worker role in Fareham provides a relaxed and nurturing family environment. You will be working in a residential setting supporting and enabling children to reach their full potential. Enabling them to grow and progress in all areas of their development and allowing the children to build resilience in a safe and secure environment.
Following a thorough induction and training programme, your main responsibilities include, working with in team of support workers to maintain a safe and caring environment. Building relationships with the children and supporting them in their day to day lives. Domestic duties are required to maintain a clean and safe environment to live and work in. Assessing individuals, you are working with to help meet their needs following policies and procedures. You’ll be helping the children manage their own behaviour’s by using the skills and approved approaches.
As a residential support worker, you will need to have a positive, calm and nurturing approach and awareness of general health, safety, and welfare of children. It is important you are able to communicate clearly and easily with young people and others in a variety of ways. Commitment and reliability are important to ensure the individual needs of all the young people’ are met.
