Solicitor – Private Client – Gloucester – 3+ Years PQE
Location: Gloucester (with hybrid working)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full time
Salary: £55,000 to £70,000 (depending on experience)
A well established regional law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join its growing Gloucester team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong lawyer to take on a varied caseload across wills, probate, trusts and capacity matters, while contributing to the continued development of the department.
The Role
You will provide high quality legal services across a full range of private client matters, including:
- Conducting initial consultations and client triage
- Drafting Wills and advising on estate planning, trusts and Inheritance Tax
- Advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, including applications and registrations
- Advising on trusts and preparing trust documentation
- Managing probate matters and liaising closely with clients throughout the administration process
- Advising on deputyships and Court of Protection matters
- Ongoing case management and progression of files
- Supporting the development and coordination of the department
- Networking and business development to generate new workflows
- Managing WIP, billing and client financing
- Achieving monthly and annual fee targets
- Ensuring files are well organised and compliant with firm policies
- Using the firm’s case management system for all correspondence and documentation
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a solicitor who:
- Is a qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 3+ years’ PQE
- Has strong experience across Wills, LPAs, probate, trusts and capacity matters
- Is highly organised with the ability to manage their own workload and meet deadlines
- Demonstrates excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Has experience using multiple systems and managing detailed case files
- Is proactive, client focused and able to build strong relationships
- Works collaboratively within a team environment
- Has strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Is commercially aware and confident working towards financial targets
