Salary: £75,000 to £95,000
Chadwick Nott are delighted to be working with a highly respected regional law firm in their search for a Senior Associate to join their successful and friendly Family team in Exeter. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced family lawyer to lead on high-value matrimonial finance matters while contributing to the growth and strategy of a thriving department.
The Role
This is a senior, client-facing position offering the opportunity to manage complex family law matters and play a key role in business development. Responsibilities include:
- Advising on all aspects of family law, with a focus on high-value matrimonial finance, divorce, and prenuptial agreements
- Managing a personal caseload independently, maintaining high standards of client care
- Leading on complex financial remedy cases with strategic, pragmatic advice
- Mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Engaging in networking and business development initiatives
- Collaborating with marketing and leadership to raise the team’s profile
- Staying up to date with evolving legislation and case law
- Working cross-departmentally to deliver full-service legal support
- Contributing to planning, budgeting, and team development
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a solicitor with:
- 8+ years PQE in family law, ideally with experience in high-value matrimonial finance
- Strong technical expertise and excellent client-handling skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach and strong interpersonal abilities
- Experience mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to team development
- Commercial awareness and a strategic mindset
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to delivering exceptional service
