Management accountant with a main responsibility to provide a competent and complete management accounting service in a timely way to assist decision making, month end journals and financial planning.

Description

  • Assist the FP&A Manager in the compilation of yearly statutory accounts, statutory notes to the accounts, and accompanying schedules to ensure timely completion within the year-end deadline.
  • Create a more responsive budgeting system that is linked with strategic strategies and improves bottom line performance.
  • Prepare accurate, relevant, and meaningful monthly management accounts in a timely way for the executive team to examine.
  • Monthly meeting with budget holders to verify that the budget position is understood and that remedial steps are done when an overspend is expected.
  • Responsibility for creating a cash flow report for the executive team, emphasising periods of cash flow strain.
  • Assist the FP&A manager in producing the 5-year budget.

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:
  • Newly qualified/ Part qualified – ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience of preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
  • Experience evaluating and explaining variances from budgets and forecasts.
  • Proven experience in forecasting and cost analysis.
