Overview

This interim role requires an experienced qualified Accountant who has good experience of NetSuite, to assist in implementing and optimising NetSuite within the business. Based in North West London, the position involves working closely with the accounting & finance department to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Controller in the implementation of the NetSuite Finance module, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to customise the module to meet the organisation’s specific needs.
  • Identify and resolve any issues during the implementation process.
  • Conduct system testing and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Deliver training for end-users.
  • Support data migration and ensure accuracy throughout the process.
  • Maintain documentation for all steps taken during the implementation.
  • Offer ongoing support post-implementation to ensure a smooth transition
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis Support: Provide ongoing support with financial reporting, including generating standard reports and assisting with reconciliations related to the new system
  • Process Validation & Documentation: Assist in documenting key accounting processes within the new system, including approval workflows, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.
  • Assist in rolling out Quadient successfully in the remit region.

Profile

The successful candidate should have:

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on financial reporting and system implementation (preferred). Prior experience with NetSuite and ad hoc system rollout is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite ERP, including data migration, report generation, and approval workflows. Solid understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Solid knowledge of general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and key financial controls.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to analyse problems, identify solutions, and implement them effectively.
  • Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment; able to quickly learn new systems and adapt to evolving requirements.
  • Charter Relations: Experience working with charterers/clients is highly desirable.
