Job Summary
Job Title: Housekeeper
Location: Dorchester
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Work Pattern: Week One: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week Two: Monday, Thursday, Friday Ideally 8am–2pm shifts
Job Description:
As a Housekeeper, you’ll ensure the care home remains a clean, welcoming environment for residents. Your role goes beyond cleanliness—you’ll build rapport with residents and their families, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and ensure that all areas meet hygiene and safety standards in line with regulatory guidance. You’ll also play an active part in the home’s culture, contributing to a caring and collaborative atmosphere.
Experience
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping experience, ideally in a healthcare or residential setting
- Knowledge of Health & Safety,
- Infection Control, and cleaning standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised with great attention to detail
- Committed to respecting the dignity and privacy of residents
- Must be 18 years or older Willing to undergo a DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
