Overview

Operations Manager (Franchise) — Midlands
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 + Car Allowance (TBD) + Progression Pathway

We’re working with one of the UK’s fastest-growing QSR/coffee brands, now over 70 stores nationwide and on track to hit 100 within the next year. With a differentiated food and beverage model, strong brand partnerships, and an ambitious site-opening cadence, the business is looking for an experienced Operations Manager (Franchise) to support and scale its West Midlands region.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, commercially sharp operator with franchise experience to step into a high-impact role—stabilising a growing patch, coaching franchisees, and helping to codify systems for scale. With a clear pathway to Head of Operations in the near future, this is a rare chance to grow alongside a dynamic, founder-led brand at pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Franchisee Support & Performance: Act as the first line of operational support for ~12–15 West Midlands sites, driving standards, coaching on P&Ls, and improving commercial performance.
  • Openings & Growth: Support the rollout of ~one new store every four weeks—ensuring on-time, on-standard launches while protecting brand standards.
  • Standards & Compliance: Deliver operational audits, action plans, and brand protection initiatives—partnering with external Food Safety & H&S providers.
  • Systems & Data: Own POS/till functionality across your region and champion data-driven coaching on sales mix, labour, COGS, and waste.
  • Training & Playbooks: Keep manuals up-to-date, deliver ad-hoc training, and create simple, repeatable toolkits to uplevel franchisee capability.
  • Cross-Functional Input: Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, and Training to ensure seamless execution of campaigns, NPD, and menu launches.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in multi-site franchise operations within QSR, coffee, or retail F&B.
  • Strong franchisee influencer—able to balance entrepreneurial autonomy with non-negotiable brand standards.
  • Commercially sharp with a strong grasp of store-level P&L levers (labour, COGS, waste, throughput).
  • Confident managing POS systems, menu/inventory workflows, and click & collect/app platforms.
  • Resilient, action-oriented, and comfortable with rapid growth and ambiguity.
  • Based in or near the Midlands, with a full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly across the region.
