Financial Controller – Property Maintenance Company
Salary package: AED22-26k pm all inclusive plus standard benefits like medical, flights etc
We have been retained by the forward thinking and expanding Property maintenance Company to find them a Financial Controller for their small group, operating in the UAE and UK.
This isn’t a bookkeeping role, and it isn’t one where you inherit someone else’s finished system. You will build the financial control environment from where it stands today to where a multi-entity, investor ready business needs it to be — consolidated reporting, a clean month-end, real controls, and numbers a board and investors can trust without a second look.
What you will be doing – in brief:
- Owning Group Consolidation
- Leading Month end reporting
- Building the control environment
- Managing the finance team
- Supporting the fundraise and beyond
- Working closely with the Partners, be an important part of the decision making process
What we are looking for in our ideal candidate:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CMA).
- 5–10 years’ progressive finance experience, including leading a finance function or team.
- Strong technical grounding — IFRS, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, multi-entity consolidation.
- Owned month-end and built reporting from scratch, not just maintained an existing pack.
- Comfortable in a business where the systems are still being built — you would rather build them properly than inherit them finished.
- Hands-on Xero experience is a strong plus.
- Experience in maintenance, MEP, facilities management, construction or another project-based technical services business is a strong advantage
- You understand project accounting, job costing and contract-level
- You want to build a finance function, not administer one someone else already built.
- You get satisfaction from turning a messy multi-entity picture into one clean, trusted
- number.
