Family Solicitor – Associate Level – Bristol

We’re looking for an experienced Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse team based in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on emotionally significant cases, deliver exceptional client care, and help shape the future of the department.

You’ll be trusted to manage a mix of legal aid and private files, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the team’s growth through business development.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Handling a varied caseload of private law children and domestic abuse matters
  • Delivering clear, commercially astute advice with empathy and professionalism
  • Building credibility with clients and managing expectations around outcomes, risk, and timescales
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to a collaborative team culture
  • Engaging in networking, marketing, and sector development activities

What we’re looking for:

  • A qualified solicitor or legal executive with 5+ years’ experience in family law
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage files independently
  • Excellent client management and communication skills
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to mentor junior colleagues
  • Someone who’s ready to raise their profile and contribute to the team’s reputation
