Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience)
A national law firm is seeking a talented Associate (0-2 years PQE) to join its award-winning Corporate team in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive team with a strong reputation for excellence and a commitment to helping every team member thrive.
The Role
You’ll work on a wide range of high-profile corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring. The Cardiff team offers a unique proposition in the Welsh legal market – combining the personal, relationship-driven service of a locally rooted team with the reach and expertise of a leading national firm.
With a move to a brand-new office in One Central Square in early 2026 and plans to build a full-service offering in Cardiff, this role offers a chance to be part of a dynamic growth journey.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on corporate transactions across multiple sectors
- Supporting senior lawyers on complex deals
- Drafting and negotiating key transaction documents
- Building strong client relationships
- Contributing to business development and team growth
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 0-2 years PQE in corporate law
- Strong academic background and commercial awareness
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative, high-performing team
- Ambition to grow and develop within a national firm
Working Arrangements
- The firm supports hybrid working across all roles. Attendance at the Cardiff office is expected, with flexibility to accommodate personal commitments.
