Location: Bridgwater, Somerset (rural setting)
Salary: Up to £53,725.86 (including bonuses)

We are excited to announce a brand new 4-bed children’s home opening in Bridgwater, Somerset – and we are now seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead the service.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will:
·Lead and manage a 4-bed home and a staff team of 9, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for young people.
·Be accountable for the smooth and efficient running of the home, meeting all Ofsted and safeguarding requirements.
·Registered Manager develop and maintain individual care plans, reports and monitoring systems to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
·Recruit, develop, supervise and motivate your team, creating a culture of openness, positivity and professional growth.
·Represent Headway professionally to external agencies, commissioners and within the local community.
·Participate in on-call duties (average of 2 per month).
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
·Registered Manager experienced: At least 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years in a residential childcare role, including 1 year in a supervisory/management position.
·Qualified: Holds QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) and QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent).
·Knowledgeable: Thorough understanding of Children’s Home Regulations, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding/child protection procedures.
·Resilient & Motivated: Committed to making a genuine difference to young people’s lives, with a positive, professional and non-judgemental attitude.
·Flexible & Practical: Able to drive a manual car (with business insurance) and undertake on-call duties.

·22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
·Occupancy Bonus – £175 per child after the first (up to £525 per month for a 4-bed home)
·£2,000 annual car allowance
·Ofsted Bonus – £500 for Good, £1,000 for Outstanding
·On-call payments – £10 per day (Mon–Fri), £50 per day (Sat–Sun)
·Non-contributory pension – 9% employer contribution
·Company sick pay – enhanced after 6 months (5 days full pay)
