Criminal Defence Solicitor – Salisbury or Melksham

We’re seeking a motivated solicitor to handle a varied criminal caseload. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or flexible hours, our client are open to shaping the role around the right candidate.
The Role
- Advising clients on criminal matters, funding options, and case strategy
- Representing clients at police stations, courts, and detention centres (day and night)
- Preparing legal documents, statements, and correspondence
- Liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
- Reviewing evidence, negotiating outcomes, and managing hearings
- Ensuring compliance with LAA, SRA, and internal standards
- Supervising junior staff (if applicable)
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or ILEX Accredited
- Duty Solicitor status (or willingness to qualify)
- Experience managing criminal defence cases
- Strong advocacy, client care, and organisational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Full UK driving licence
