Special Educational Needs Paralegal – Reading

Excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join an award-winning, Legal 500 law firm.

Our client is a forward-thinking and friendly law firm located in Reading. They are currently looking for a Paralegal to join their Special Educational Needs team in Reading, Berkshire.

The role will involve:

  • Managing new enquiries, client finances, budgets, and experts’ fees.
  • Maintaining databases and client records.
  • Making client and third-party calls on behalf of senior fee earners.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, schools, and the Tribunal.
  • Requesting SAR records from schools and local authorities.
  • Drafting court forms, Grounds of Appeal, and client correspondence.
  • Preparing bundles, schedules of documents, and working documents for EHCPs.
  • Researching and arranging expert assessments.
  • Handling post-registration appeal steps and drafting instructions to experts, etc.

To be considered, you must have experience working within a legal environment in SEN law.
