This leading public body is currently looking to recruit a Senior Internal Audit Manager who is a proven manager whose focus will be split between strategic, operational and financial audits.

Description

The Senior Internal Audit Manager will provide quality assurance that the key principles of Internal Audit are being upheld within the terms and conditions of the Public Sector internal Audit Standards, Managing Public Money and other key government/industry standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing a small team of auditors, both as a line manager and through providing oversight on audit projects.
  • Delivering planned audits to scope, quality, time and within budget as outlined.
  • Contributing to the overall audit strategy and the process of ongoing assurance
  • Being a key driver in the development and implementation of Internal Audit function methodologies,professional practices, tools, etc, to meet and exceed relevant internal audit standards.
  • Representing internal audit on internal programme and project boards as necessary to advise on risk and control issues.
  • Delivering draft and final reports in line within agreed deadlines.
  • Support and stand in for the Head of Internal Audit as necessary.

Profile

The Senior Internal Audit Manager will have considerable experience at a senior level of internal Audit, preferably within a Trade Finance environment or wider Financial Services sector.

You will be an experienced team manager and will be expected to be a key contributor in developing the overall strategy, professionalism and quality assurance programme of the Internal Audit and Assurance division.

It is essential that you are fully qualified CMIIA, CCAB or equivalent and be able to demonstrate considerable Internal Audit experience across complex and regulated organisations.

Job Offer

A salary from £73,000 – £86,000 plus an excellent benefits package.
