The Senior Finance Business Partner will play a critical role within the Property Accounting & Finance department, offering financial guidance and support to facilitate key business decisions. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of property industry financials and have the ability to oversee complex financial projects within Public Sector organisations.

Description

  • Offer financial guidance and support to facilitate key business decisions with senior executives.
  • Oversee financial projects, ensuring cost control and budget management in line with GovS 006.
  • Lead financial reporting and analysis, providing accurate and timely financial information.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with differentiating priorities.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Interpret and report insights from management reports to facilitate the decision-making process by senior business leaders.
  • Participate in the development of strategic business plans.
  • Oversee the month end process, analytics, variance analysis and provide assurance for reporting packs.
  • Review and challenge funding requests in line with HM Treasury’s Managing Public Money.

Profile

A successful Senior Finance Business Partner should have:

  • Accounting Qualification.
  • Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
  • Experience with infrastructure/property projects.
  • Knowledge of Public Sector spending (DEL/AME funding).
  • Proficiency in major accounting software and databases.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
