This client are looking for an experienced Estimator to join their business in a Senior Estimating role in order to add value to the current estimating team and get involved with a wide range of exciting tenders.

Description
Key Responsibilities include:

Organising Estimation Files: Set up and meticulously organise estimation files upon receiving inquiries, both digital and hard copy, along with any subsequent documents or additions.

Tender Completion: Prepare tenders for clients based on architectural, structural engineer, and other specialist drawings, plans, and specifications.

Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and organised records to ensure effective project management.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish and maintain connections with suppliers, subcontractors, and specialists to ensure smooth collaboration from inquiry to contract award.

Quotation Management: Proactively follow up with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to advance the tendering process.

Accurate Take-offs: Perform precise take-offs for various residential and commercial projects using measuring take-off tools and software.

Estimating Tasks: Execute assigned estimating tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Client Consultation: Discuss projects with clients, providing professional insights and industry expertise.

Project Revisions: Make accurate project revisions based on client feedback, offering relevant professional advice and opinions.

Value Engineering: Discuss and establish potential value engineering options to help clients meet budgetary constraints.

Communication Management: Handle incoming telephone calls, manage messages, or redirect as needed to maintain clear communication.

Administrative Support: Undertake additional general support and administrative duties to maintain operational efficiency.

Team Collaboration: Provide support and assistance to colleagues and the accounts team, fostering a culture of teamwork and mutual support.

Director Support: Assist the estimating director and managing director as required.

Client Follow-ups: Conduct post-call follow-ups with clients to offer professional advice and information on peer projects.

Cost Analysis: Accurately compare various cost estimates and complete tender analyses, providing clear and concise observations and comments.

Large-Scale Project Management: Work on large-scale commercial projects, understanding the construction scope and effectively managing time and deadlines on tenders and take-offs.
Profile
Ideally you will have a strong understanding of the building/construction industry and have excellent organisational skills along with the ability to reach tight deadlines.
You will have the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and be confident when working in a fast paced environment.
Ideally you will hold relevant qualifications and have a minimum of five year’s experience, enabling you to bring expertise and insight to the role. The ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring client satisfaction is crucial.
