Residential Conveyancing Paralegal

Chadwick Nott are working with an award-winning residential property firm based in London who are looking to hire a Residential Property Paralegal to join their growing team.

The role will involve handling a variety of sale and purchase transactions with the support and supervision of an experienced, qualified Fee Earner and supported by wider team of Fee Earners, Paralegals and Legal Assistants.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) handling your own caseload of sale & purchase files under supervision, updating clients and introducers on the progress of matters, raising and responding to enquiries, interrogating responses and providing detailed reports to clients as well as dealing with pre-exchange and completion issues. You will have knowledge of the sales, purchase and re-mortgage process and be comfortable running a mixed caseload of files with appropriate supervision.

The successful candidate must possess a law degree (ideally 2:1 or above) or an equivalent law qualification. Other requirements include:

  • Previous experience of working within a law firm environment with prior residential conveyancing or wider property exposure (ideally 3-4 years), including running your own caseload.
  • Have previous experience of working within a service-driven team environment.
  • Be competent with operating IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Have a high level of attention to detail.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Be driven to deliver all tasks in a timely manner and have proven experience of working under pressure.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Paralegal to start within a firm who are keen to invest in them, and with the potential to offer a route to qualification.

This will be a hybrid opportunity (Minimum 3 days in the office).

Job Tenure: Permanent and Full-Time
Salary: £32000 – £40000 per annum
