Overview

Part-time Bookkeeping position in the City Of London working 4 days a week on site. The successful candidate will have experience managing the day-to-day accounting activities, preparing journals, and closing the year-end to trial balance.

Client Details

An independednt body who supervises and regulates takeovers. It is resposnible for ensuring fair treatment for all shareholders and an orderly framework to takeover bids.

Description

  • Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Recording financial transactions in Quickbooks
  • Maintaining company ledgers
  • Posting purchase invoices and raising sales invoices on Quickbooks
  • Bank reconciliations (multi-currency
  • Post staff credit card transactions on Quickbooks
  • Expense accounting
  • Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management
  • Stock journals
  • VAT reporting
  • Ensure smooth and timely PAYE payments, maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and report on exchange rates for foreign currency transactions.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure adequate funds are available to meet ongoing operational and investment needs.
  • Raising sales invoices
  • Posting credit card receipts
  • Weekly bank reconciliations
  • Calculate and submit monthly VAT return.
  • Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Assist with month end management accounts preparation – balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support annual audits and other financial compliance.

Profile

  • Excellent IT skills, demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of Quickbooks
  • High level of personal integrity and discretion
  • Flexible, professional and personable
  • Excellent written and verbal English
  • Can do attitude
  • Happy to be on-site 4 days of the week
  • Ideally someone with a law firm background
