A Management Accountant to lead a Care & Support department is required to take on a key role in the financial management of a mid-sized Housing Association. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the accounting and finance department, providing vital support to overall organisation.

Description

  • Providing financial advice and support to the Care & Support team.
  • Preparing and presenting regular monthly management reports to the Exec team.
  • Responsible for all elements of budgeting, financial performance reporting and forecasting, and financial business analysis for the care & support business unit.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Contributing to financial decision-making processes within the team.
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Profile

  • Qualified or newly qualified – ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional skills in Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards within the Care & Support sector
  • Analytic skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience of preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
  • Experience evaluating and explaining variances from budgets and forecasts.
  • Proven experience in forecasting and cost analysis.
