Role – Head of Department – General Medicine

Location – Tasmania

The Role

  • You will have Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in General and Acute Medicine (or willingness to obtain)
  • Contribute to the provision of high-quality inpatient and outpatient care to public and private patients of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) in General Medicine.
  • Contribute to the Department of General Medicine’s afterhours and weekend roster.
  • Provide professional leadership to medical, nursing, and allied health staff and foster interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Be actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as trainee and IMG supervision and mentoring
  • Be involved in research and undertake quality improvement activities.
  • Actively support and participate in service development to improve current services and develop new services in the Department of General Medicine.
