Overview

The Grant Accounting Manager is a pivotal role in the Finance department, responsible for the financial management of grants; this position ensures compliance with grantor terms and conditions, and provides regular financial reporting. You will be tasked with the budgeting, reporting and compliance processes for all grants across the organisation and its subsidiaries, as well as the procurement and contracting piece.

Description

  • Manage all aspects of grant accounting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with project managers and finance staff to monitor grant expenditure and ensure compliance with grantor requirements.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for grantors.
  • Conduct financial analysis and forecasting for grant programs.
  • Review and approve grant-related transactions and adjustments.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and complete grant files.
  • Support the annual audit process by providing necessary grant-related information.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on grant management and compliance- you will act as the key point of contact.
  • You will provide support on budget management, forecasting and monthly reporting to feed into grant, department and organisational budgets.

Profile

A successful Grant Accounting Manager should have:

  • An ACA, ACCA, CIMA full accountant.
  • Experience in grant accounting and financial management; ideally in a Not-for-Profit/ local government setting.
  • Experience of managing a procurement process, complying with grant funder requirements and drafting RfPs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to work with different stakeholders is key.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Offer

  • A salary range of £47,000 – £54,000 per year.
