The Financial Accountant position based in Reading will involve the following tasks:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Submission of journal entries
- VAT returns
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Managing internal and external audits.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Providing financial analysis and guidance to management teams.
- Streamlining accounting processes and procedures.
- Coordinating with other departments to gather and analyse financial data.
- Participating in special projects as requested.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
- Proven experience in financial accounting within the business services sector.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
