This position involves a Finance Business Partner in the Care and Support department, providing strategic financial support within a growing Housing Association. The role requires accounting & finance expertise, strategic decision-making abilities, and a passion for making a difference.

* Led budgeting, financial performance reporting, business analysis, and value-for-money for care and support.

* Contribute to 5-year budget preparation, creating a responsive budgeting system that aligns with strategic aims and improves bottom line performance.

* Prepare yearly statutory accounts, notes, and schedules to meet year-end deadlines.

* Managing the relationship with external auditors during the year end audit process.

* Conducted financial modelling for a new business. Assist colleagues throughout the organisation in identifying and developing growth and efficiency opportunities mentioned in the Growth and Transformation Strategy.

* Present financial possibilities to the Director of Care and Support to help them make informed decisions.

* Prepared a cash flow report for the Executive Team and Board, noting periods of cash flow challenges.

* Make sure expenditure aligns with corporate priorities and budgets are set accordingly.

* Challenge corporate assumptions during forecasting and planning.


A successful Finance Business Partner should have:
  • CCAB Qualified or nearly qualified
  • Experience with a Care and Support business
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience of complex and difficult financial reconciliations.
