An excellent opportunity to join a leading children’s charity as a Finance Business Partner. You will be tasked with producing the management accounts, producing the budgets, forecasts and working closely with key budget holders across the organisation. As a Finance Business Partner you will report into the Head of Finance and will oversee two junior members of staff, supporting them in their progression.

Our client is a leading UK children’s Charity that works with children and young adults helping to provide a healthy active lifestyle through social groups and educational resources. As a growing charity they are expanding their finance team, increasing the business partners from 2 to 3 heads, you will therefore be joining a well established team with strong organisational knowledge.


  • You will be responsible for managing two key contracts, working closely with the key budget holders you will provide the budgeting, forecasting and management accounts.
  • You will help to support two Finance officers helping them in their progression.
  • Leading on the month end processes, annual forecast and budgets.
  • Consolidation of the monthly financial reports.
  • Develop KPIs, profitability analysis and tender returns.
  • Propose process improvements and policies for the wider team.
  • Interact with your budget holders; breaking down the financials and building up cross functional trust.
  • Put together board papers for the Head of Finance to present.
  • Step in for the Head of Finance, reporting to the board when necessary.


  • Must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Must have advanced excel skills.
  • You will have consolidated management accounts in previous roles.
  • Strong demonstrable experience business; demonstrating you can communicate with non financial budget holders and explain financials in a clear concise manner.
  • Previous experience budgeting and forecasting is essential.
