Engineering/Project Manager – Relocate to The Caribbean

February 2026 start date

We are seeking a strong Engineering / Project Manager to lead all engineering, maintenance, and project delivery for a high-end hospitality operation. This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a confident leader who can manage people, projects, and technical systems while partnering closely with the General Manager.

The position oversees a 10-person team (including landscapers, carpenters, and general maintenance staff) and is responsible for both daily operations and ongoing capital projects.


Reporting Structure

  • Reports directly to: General Manager
  • Manages: 10 on-site team members

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance team with a strong leadership presence
  • Oversee ongoing and upcoming capital projects, including:
    • Completion of a ballroom
    • Construction of pool cabanas
    • Delivery of new facilities annually
  • Manage project planning, timelines, budgets, and contractors
  • Oversee procurement and coordination of equipment sourced from China
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all technical systems
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including solar energy systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety, risk management, and operational standards
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leadership on all engineering and infrastructure matters

Technical Environment

  • Chiller-based AC plant (no boiler plant)
  • Emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Ongoing infrastructure upgrades and new builds

Candidate Profile

Must-Have:

  • Strong engineering and project management background
  • Proven people leader with hands-on management experience
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Technically sound and operationally confident
  • Experience with solar energy or sustainable systems
  • Able and willing to travel internationally:
    • United States
    • China (approx. once per year)

Preferred:

  • Hospitality, resort, island, or remote-location experience
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving project environment
  • Preferably single (due to housing setup and travel requirements)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: USD $4,000–$5,000 net per month (open to discussion)
    • Paid bi-weekly
  • Service Charge: Approx. $200–$500 per month, paid at month-end
  • Social Security: Small statutory deduction
  • Christmas Bonus: Performance-based
  • Annual Leave: 14 paid days
  • Public Holidays: Taken in lieu
  • Housing: Private on-site studio suite
  • Flights: Reimbursed
  • Work Permit: Fully covered by employer
    • Processing time approx. 1 week

This is a leadership role suited for a professional who is hands on strategic and comfortable managing both people and projects in a dynamic resort environment.

The ideal candidate will bring the following strengths and experience.
 1. Strong command of English with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
 2. Background in project management with proven delivery of complex initiatives
 3. Based in St.Kitts or closely connected to nearby regions such as Florida
 4. Capability to plan and execute new hotel projects including solar panel initiatives new cabana construction roofing works and similar developments using the in house engineering team
 5. Ability to travel to the United States without restriction
 6. Experience managing a diverse team including English and Spanish speaking colleagues
 7. Confidence collaborating with a multicultural leadership team comprising local professionals and international expats
