Overview

Our client, a well-established energy company, is looking for a Document Controller to join their team based at Sizewell.

Post Purpose

Supports site document control and records management systems in line with company and station procedures.

Nature & Scope

The role of document controller provides the station with suitably qualified and experienced resource in pursuing excellence within the field of documentation control and records management. The document controller operates within priorities, objectives and areas established by the team leader.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Carry out activities in compliance with document and records procedures to ensure that documents and records are managed to satisfy site licence requirements, company security of information obligations, statutory regulations, company and local directives, procedures and Safety Rules and to ensure customer focus.
2. Review, load and maintain documents on the Asset Management Suite (AMS)/ Controlled Document Management System (CDMS) to ensure that approved documents are readily available.
3. Protect hard copy documents and records to ensure they are safely secured and easily retrievable in accordance with Company requirements.
4. Maintain specified site technical documents to ensure they are accessible.
5. Make registered copyholders aware of new document issues.
6. Respond to requests from internal and external organisations concerning documents and provide documents in accordance with copyright and security classification.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Formal Qualifications
· GCSE/National Qualification standards (or equivalent) which should include English and Mathematics

Specific Skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Knowledge and Experience
· Has a working knowledge of documentation and record management systems – This is desirable but not essential.

Job Tenure: Contract and Full-Time
Salary: Up to £14.74 per hour
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
