Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an accountant with a commercial focused mindset / experience to lead a team within the retail industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for consolidating the management accounts of each site as well as building commercial relationships from a finance perspective with site based budget holders and offering strategic insight to the senior management team.

Description
- Oversee site based accounting of multiple sites for a particular brand/s within this business
- Prepare and present multiple and consolidated management accounts to the management team.
- Implement effective strategies to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Ensure strong commercial relationships are developed with key stakeholders at each site
- Monitor and manage budgets ensuring budget holders are aware of where they stand and how to make necessary cost reductions or contribute towards greater profit / sales
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide team members to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Profile
A successful Commercial Accountant should have:
- Either practice or industry experience
- Professional certification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities.
- Adept communication and presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of financial laws and regulations within the retail industry.
