Description
The Senior buyer will be responsible for;
- Procure materials and services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Implement purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process efficiencies.
- Carry out continuous supplier performance review to ensure contract compliance.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify new procurement opportunities.
- Manage supplier relationships and maintain good communications.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and market suppliers.
- Oversee staff training and development in the Procurement & Supply Chain department.
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
- Proven experience in a similar Senior Buyer role within the Industrial/Manufacturing sector.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability with a good understanding of Procurement & Supply Chain management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle pressure.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
