Description

  • Responsible for liaising with your designated departmental area, developing and communicating a clear strategic vision with the goals of the LA.
  • Delivering strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Contributing to financial planning and budget management
  • Evaluating financial performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with other team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Providing financial input into the development of strategic plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Monitoring and analysing financial data and trends.
  • Contributing to the development of financial policies and procedures.

Profile

A successful Strategic Finance Business Partner should have:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Excellent Business Partnering experience
  • Minimum of 5 years local authority experience
  • Ideally with either Education, Child Services, Adult service or City experience
  • Ability to develop and communicate a clear strategic vision that aligns with the team
  • Strong expertise in financial management and planning.
  • Ability to deliver strategic advice and contribute to financial planning.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.

Job Offer

  • Day rate between £550 and £650 a day dependent on experience
  • Minimum 6 month role
  • Remote role 1 day a month onsite
  • The opportunity to contribute to significant public sector projects.
