Role Overview

We are on the lookout for a permanent dynamic Quality Systems Engineer to join our client’s team. Your role would be to support the Quality Manager / Quality Engineers in the development and control of the business management systems, standards, and customer specific requirements. Working 40-hour week, Monday to Thursday 7:30 to 4:15, Friday 7:30 to 3:00.

As a Quality Systems Engineer your role will consist of:

  • Implement and maintain up-to-date quality management systems
  • To maintain and ensure certification to IATF16949 China Compulsory Certification, and any customer specific requirements known and understood within the business.
  • To report and track internal and external audit findings to completion within agreed timescales through
  • Support the Quality Manager in providing data for the Management Review.
  • Assist with general problem solving
  • Support the Quality Manager by leading all external Quality certification audits.
  • Management, upkeep, and maintenance of the internal document control system.
  • Support the Quality Manager by leading all internal / Customer Quality audits.
  • Maintain Customer specific requirements for the plant and ensure they are captured within the Business Management System.
  • Laise with management to help drive improvements across the site and present
  • Provide performance analysis and metrics as required by the business.
  • Team member on 8D investigations (where applicable).
  • Has knowledge of procedures regarding health and safety at work, incident reporting, EHS screening, actions taken by EHS coordinators and EHS committees.
  • Manage the China Compulsory Certification requirements for the business.
  • Generate Layered Process Audit (MPA, LPA) analysis data and report out to the business.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • HND / Degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Proven experience working within a Quality / System based role.
  • Experience of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards, including internal audit experience.
  • Analytical approach / attention to detail.
  • Experienced conducting internal & External audits
  • Computer literate with Microsoft packages.

Desirable

  • Business Improvement Degree / Masters
  • VDA 6.3 experience
  • Experience within automotive is preferable
