Commercial Property Paralegal – Exeter/Taunton

Excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join a highly-regarded law firm.

Our client is an award-winning law firm with offices spread across the South West. They are currently looking for a Paralegal to join their Commercial Property team in Exeter or Taunton.

The hiring team acts for large estates and small farms, as well as large and small commercial property owners and developers outside the farming sector. Initially, the role will involve administering, progressing, completing and registering commercial conveyancing transactions including:

  • Making searches
  • Making enquiries
  • Drafting commercial conveyancing contracts using SCPC
  • Drafting reports on title
  • Drafting transfers
  • Making requisitions
  • Liaising with lenders and complying with their requirements
  • Completing commercial property transactions

After a period of training, you will also have the opportunity to deal with:

  • Taking instructions and managing/controlling client commercial property transactions, freehold and leasehold
  • Assisting in larger farm and commercial property sales and purchases and more complex oundary/covenant/easement issues
  • Assisting with investigating title
  • Assisting with drafting deeds of easement and covenant
  • Assisting with drafting commercial leases under the LTA 195, etc.

To be considered for this role, you must be a paralegal ideally with a commercial property background. You must also have experience of working with clients and be able to communicate effectively.
