Overview
A crucial position for the UK business, the UK Director of Accounting will manage a team of 6 and report the FD in France with a dotted line to the states. Covering all elements of stats / tax / audit / compliance / controls and reporting to the US.

Description
- Supervision of accounting teams : 6 FTE
- Ensuring the liaison between the accounting team and all the company’s departments: collection of information
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and yearly reports for local management and US Corporate headquarters in accordance with US GAAP.
- Preparing detailed Budget and Forecast for Direct and indirect expenses: providing analysis and commentary of monthly actual results and variances to plan.
- Statutory accounts, annual audit process and statutory fillings
- Organize the schedule for drafting accounting documents
- Verify the legality of the company’s accounting documents and operations
- Monitor the evolution of accounting and tax standards/legislation
- Regularly reporting to management on the company’s situation
- Recommend new tools and new processes.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial results, explaining variances to forecast and budget
- Preparing information for tax and fiscal reporting to UK Tax Authorities
- Managing the AP and AR invoicing process
- Manage teams: recruitment, training, professional development
- Managing customer collections process
- Treasury management and cash forecasting
- Managing intercompany accounting and billing; analysing transfer prices and ensuring compliance with Fixed Margin Agreement
- Managing internal and external statutory audits
- Review of group performance for purpose of transfer pricing review in partnership with tax planning team including preparation of P&L analysis vs Budget & Prior year
Profile
- Bachelors degree or equivalent / preferably holding a professional accounting qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Minimum of 8+ years of functional experience in accounting/Financial controlling in an international environment
- Hands-on experience in people management
- Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP accounting principle
- SAP
- Top 10 Corporate Audit experience preferred
- Proactive, responsive individual with excellent leadership skills
- Well organize, multi-tasking while detail focused, with good analytical skills
- Ability to develop strong working relationship across all functions and lines of business.
- Solutions-oriented with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and under pressure
- Highly computer literate
Job Offer
£100,000 basic salary
20% performance related bonus
10% employer pension / 5% employee
25 days AL + BH on top (1 extra per year to 28)
